About the Blog
Why am I doing this?
I am not here to preach about what’s right and wrong. I am not here to solve India’s problems. I am here to initiate conversations on Change. Radical Change that we need.
We need to change the way we vote. The way we choose our leaders and our idols. The way we think. Coz if we had been doing this the right way up till now, we wouldn’t be living in the India we live in today. We deserve a better nation. And it is time we act to bring the change.
We did one good thing in 1991. We started opening up our economy and look the difference that it has made. It is time we open our minds and thinking processes too. It is time. It is time we appreciate Libertarianism and the the Right for every individual to make their own choice. No more Raj Thackerays, No more Communal Bullshit, No more religious interference in our lives, No more VHP, RSS, Maulvis or Stupid Fatwas.
The only one who should decide how we live our lives is us. It is time we take our lives back coz We have a damn Right to Choose!
I am not trying to act like an Intellectual in here. I am a voter of this nation asking each one of us a question. Could we have done anything better in the last 60 years, and more importantly Can we the individuals do anything today?
I throw this question at myself every now and then. I get the same answer every time. Yes We Can.
Why this blog?
Simple. One man can make a difference. But One man alone cant make a difference.
I believe that we deserve a better nation and for anything to happen change is essential.
We desperately need change and I stand up for it. My reason for my starting this blog is to create a network of individuals like me who believe in change.
I want to raise my voice, not coz I expect that it is going to be heard. I am sure, one day it will be. But more importantly, to let other people like me know that there are people in this nation who like them are looking for change too.
I am here to build a network of individuals around the idea of an India were there is no quota, no nonsense politics of caste and religion. But a nation which runs on rational principles of market economics and libertarianism.
I call on people to hold government responsible. We have complained for too long and hoped that things will improved.
But we have waited for too long. We have waited for good people to come to power and save us. But nothing has happened.
Our Rulers know that We do not have political options and shall not take any action. But Enough is Enough.
Let us build a network of active people who are doers. I urge you to unite. Let us start by supporting good people in elections. Forget about which party they are from. Vote for good people who will work for welfare of our people.
We are part of a democracy. Let’s use the rights given to us by the system. Let us hold the government responsible. Let us use the power of vote to get good people into power. Let us use RTI to ensure that good people stay good when in power.
If we don’t act collectively, we can not achieve anything. It is time we join hands for the India we deserve. It is time we do something coz We don’t want our next 60 years to be like the last 60. It is time we initiate the change now. It is time.
PS: You may not agree with what I say. That is okay; if not better. Coz I am always open to the opposite view. In fact, if we debate on the issue and I realize that I am wrong and your argument makes much more sense. I would be more than happy to align with you and make your argument my default stance. I deeply appreciate good debates and good debaters.
